  • Where is Crayola IDEAworks located?
    We are located in the Ford Building at Camp North End. Use this address in your GPS: 1774 Statesville Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28206.
  • My child came down with a cold/COVID. Can I reschedule my day?
    In order to reschedule your ticket day/time you must contact Show Clix. Visit their support page:
  • Where do I park?
    Parking is free and plentiful! To access the large lot adjacent to the Crayola IDEAworks entrance from Statesville Ave, enter this address into your GPS: 1774 Statesville Ave, Charlotte, NC 28206.
  • Does my toddler need a ticket?
    Children ages 4 and under are FREE and do not require a ticket.
  • What are the ideal ages for the event?
    The event is built for ages 5-12, but children outside that range are welcomed!
  • Are parents required to purchase tickets as well while accompanying a child?
  • Can I bring a stroller?
  • How much time can I spend in the experience once I enter?
    The average guest will spend between 60-90 minutes in the experience. You are welcome to spend more time if you prefer.
  • Do you offer group ticket discounts?
    Yes! We offer a 20% discount for groups of 10 or more guests on weekdays. You can purchase discounted tickets for up to 30 guests on our website. For larger groups, please fill out our groups form here.
  • How do I host a birthday party, summer camp, or field trip at Crayola IDEAworks?
    Please fill out the group sales form here.
  • Do you need a wristband for Crayola IDEAworks to be a good experience?
    It is not required that children have a wristband to have a good time as we offer different coloring and building stations for all ages. However, their progress through the Colorverse challenges will not be tracked or accessible without a wristband.
  • What else can we do at Camp North End?
    For starters, Camp North End offers some scrumptious food, drinks, and desserts. There's also a variety of shops and art galleries.
  • What is your masking policy?

  • Is the attraction wheelchair accessible?
  • What are your cleaning protocols?
    There are 8 hand sanitizers placed throughout the attraction. The attraction stations are cleaned every hour.
  • What is the difference between the General Admission ticket and the VIP Anytime Admission Ticket?
    Your General Admission ticket will grant you entrance into the IDEAworks exhibition on the date and at the time listed on your tickets. Your VIP Anytime Admission ticket will grant you entrance into IDEAworks at any time during normal operating hours on the date listed on your ticket.
  • Can I buy tickets in person?
    Yes! You are welcome to purchase your tickets in person at the main IDEAworks entrance, but we encourage guests to purchase online in advance in order to guarantee that you are able to attend at your desired time as tickets often sell out prior to the beginning of each session.
  • What if I miss my ticket time?
    If you arrive late to IDEAworks, the staff will do their best to accommodate you for a later time slot, pending space availability. The wait time for an available time slot will vary and entry cannot be guaranteed.
  • What if I am early or late to my ticketed time?
    No problem! Based on capacity constraints of the venue, we may need to ask you to wait to enter the Exhibit until there is space available, but we will still honor your ticket.
  • What if I forgot to print out my tickets?
    That’s OK! We can scan the barcode that was e-mailed to you from your mobile phone or, if all else fails, we can look up your purchase using the name and e-mail address of the person who made the purchase.
  • Can I get a refund or exchange my tickets for another time?
    Tickets are non-refundable, but you may exchange your tickets prior to the date and time on your ticket by contacting Showclix Support. There is a $5 exchange fee per ticket. Ticket exchanges must be confirmed in advance and cannot be accommodated at the Box Office.
  • Why didn’t I receive my purchased tickets via e-mail?
    If you completed your purchase online but did not receive your tickets, please first check your spam/junk folder. If you still find that you did not receive your tickets, please e-mail
  • Do you offer a military or veteran discount?
    Yes! Use code MIL2022 to receive 20% off tickets for you and your family. The code is valid for active duty military, coast guard, police officers and firefighters and will require valid substantiating identification to be presented at the entrance (eg: Military ID, badge, etc). This code cannot be combined with any other offer.
