Family Friendly Experience comes to Charlotte!

Updated: Jul 11, 2022

Crayola IDEAworks is an immersive, family-friendly experience unlike any other, fueled by the colors of Crayola®! Crayola IDEAworks spent much of the past year at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, where it served as a fun and exciting activity for kids ages 5-12. Soon, this engaging event will be arriving in Charlotte for a limited time! Below, you’ll find details about Crayola IDEAworks’ unique design as well as how you can get your family involved.

When and Where

Crayola IDEAworks will be opening soon at Camp North End in Charlotte, NC. The timing means IDEAworks will be an ideal Spring activity for kids. The current plan is for the exhibition to run in Charlotte for just 5 months!

The IDEA Workshop

Family Friendly Experience comes to South Florida!

The exhibition begins with an IDEA Workshop designed to foster creativity and flexible thinking through problem solving. After scanning an RFID wristband that will track your progress, award you badges, and personalize the IDEAworks experience, each participant will proceed to four different IDEA hubs. First, you will follow onscreen instructions that will help you develop a product pitch. The animation provides real-time feedback, mimicking a real-life creative experience. Second, you will design a step-by-step plan to plant a garden. Next, participants use foam noodles and connectors to solve building challenges. And finally, you will develop critical thinking skills with a fun and engaging game that asks you to tell fact, fiction, and opinion apart. Featured in the digital interactives and colorful displays are Crayola’s adorable characters, “Craymojis”, that represent unique creative style personalities. As guests complete activities throughout the experience, their wristbands track their progress and match their creative profiles to specific Craymojis.
